National Transportation Safety Board Chair Jennifer Homendy on Tuesday provided updates on the investigation into the Amtrak derailment in Missouri. At least three people were killed Monday after an Amtrak train hit a dump truck and derailed in Missouri, officials said. It's not yet clear how many were injured, though at least two hospitals said they had received patients.

Pentagon press secretary Air Force Brig. Gen. Patrick Ryder spoke to reporters after the White House announced that the Pentagon downed a "high-altitude object" flying over Alaska on Friday at the direction of President Biden.
